Safefood Pre-school handwashing poster

WE had great fun teaching the kids how to wash their hands in the middle of St Stephen’s Green as the rain poured down all around us, but when you have bubbles who cares.

safefood have developed a hand washing poster and song to help make hand washing fun for children and a part of their daily routine both at preschool and at home.

Hand washing prevents the spread of harmful bacteria and we hope that, with your help, each child in
pre-school will learn how to wash their hands properly and get into the habit of washing their hands after messy play, before they eat and after they use the toilet. This will help them develop a healthy habit for life.

The simple song is sung to the tune of Row, Row, Row your Boat and the poster clearly illustrates the four basic steps to washing your hands properly – soap, rub, rinse and dry.

Ashford Castle | Wedding Photographer

I just spent last Saturday in the beautiful surroundings of Ashford Castle for the Wedding of John Bresnihan and Siobhan McDonald. The wedding ceremony was performed in one of Ireland’s most important sacred historical sites, Ballintubber Abbey. Then back through the beautiful village of Cong, the site of John Ford’s greatest movie “The Quiet Man” starring John Wayne, Maureen O’Hara and Barry Fitzgerald. Passing through the gates of the 13th Century Castle you are catapulted into a land of romance and beauty. You can’t help but have your breath taken away as you come over the hill and see Ashford Castle reveal itself through the trees, framed by Lough Corrib.
