Dr. Noel Richardson director of the Centre for Men’s Health at the Institute of Technology Carlow is pictured as the the Irish Cancer Society launch a report on the Excess Burden of Cancer Among Men in the Republic of Ireland to mark Men’s Health Week 2013. The report shows that men are at greater risk of getting cancer and dying from it than women. The Irish Cancer Society commissioned the Centre for Men’s Health, Institute of Technology Carlow and the National Cancer Registry of Ireland to produce the landmark report and it is the first of its kind to look at cancer incidence and mortality from a gender perspective in Ireland. GAA Museum Relaunch | Indo & Examiner | PR Photographer Dublin

An Taoiseach Enda Kenny TD showed his ball skills in the interactive exhibit at the official unveiling of the newly-refurbished GAA Museum at Croke Park with GAA President Liam O’Neill. The final phase of renovation now includes the official GAA Hall of Fame, a modern-day heroes and legends gallery, eight exciting interactive skill zones and dedicated sound booths showcasing clips from the association’s oral history archive. The museum boasts a vast collection of objects that illustrate the development of Gaelic games from ancient times to the present day.
