Irish Fire Fighters support World Water Day Appeal to raise vital funds for West Africa
The international children’s charity, Plan Ireland, has joined forces with RTE’s Joe Duffy and Irish Fire Fighters to mark World Water Day 2012, taking place on 22nd March to raise vital funds for life saving water projects in West Africa. All funds raised from the nationwide World Water Day collections will go towards sending a fire engine to support a rural community in Niger, as well as a water project in Burkina Faso, where Plan is drilling boreholes for school children.
